Surgical Technique: How Is Breast Augmentation Performed?
Breast augmentation with implants typically takes approximately one hour and is performed under general anesthesia.
Silicone breast implants may be positioned either beneath the breast tissue (subglandular placement) or partially or completely beneath the chest muscle (submuscular placement), depending on your anatomy and the surgeon’s recommendation.
Breastfeeding ability is often preserved following breast augmentation, although the effect may vary depending on the surgical technique and individual circumstances.
Incisions are most commonly made along the natural crease beneath the breasts (inframammary fold), allowing the resulting scars to remain relatively discreet.

Recovery and Precautions: How Long Does Recovery Take After Breast Augmentation?
Breast augmentation is generally performed as an outpatient procedure, meaning that most patients can return home on the same day after a period of postoperative monitoring at our clinic.
Following surgery, patients are usually advised to wear a special supportive or compression bra for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. This bra will be provided at our clinic.
During the first two to three days, you may experience discomfort when sitting up, changing positions, or moving your upper body.
Temporary pain, swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tightness or pressure in the chest are common after surgery. These symptoms typically decrease gradually over the following days and weeks.
Most patients can return to light daily activities within 1 to 3 weeks, depending on their recovery and the physical demands of their routine.
Strenuous physical activity, heavy lifting, and intensive exercise should generally be avoided for approximately 6 weeks, or until your surgeon confirms that it is safe to resume them.
Recovery varies from person to person and depends on factors such as implant placement, individual healing, and adherence to postoperative instructions.
