Penis Enlargement Surgery
Penis enlargement and girth enhancement are among the most frequently requested male aesthetic procedures. Clinic Olymp is one of the few clinics in the region with extensive experience in performing these procedures.
Penis enlargement surgery typically involves both lengthening the penis and increasing its circumference. However, penile girth enhancement can also be performed as a standalone procedure, without lengthening.
Various penis enlargement techniques are available today. Surgical procedures offer an option for achieving longer-lasting changes, although results vary depending on the technique and individual anatomy.
Dr. Marc Abecassis from Paris, a European specialist in penis enlargement surgery under whom Dr. Panfilov trained in this technique, describes the psychological significance of the procedure:
“One centimeter added to a man’s penis can feel like one kilometer in his mind. Adding one or two kilometers can make a significant difference.”
Preparation: What You Should Know Before Penis Enlargement Surgery
Preparation for penis enlargement surgery begins with a free consultation with our surgeon. During this appointment, you will discuss your current health, personal goals, expectations, and the surgical techniques available.
Our specialists will answer your questions and provide detailed information about the procedure, including its potential benefits and limitations.
Your surgeon will recommend the most appropriate approach, explain which medical examinations and laboratory tests are required before surgery, and discuss possible complications and postoperative care instructions.
Surgical Technique: How Penis Length and Girth Are Increased
Penile lengthening and girth enhancement can be performed during a single surgical procedure under general anesthesia. The operation typically takes approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Approximately one-third of the penis is located inside the body. Through a Y-shaped incision above the base of the penis, the surgeon releases the suspensory ligament that attaches the penis to the pubic region. This allows a greater portion of the penile shaft to become externally visible.
The amount of lengthening varies between patients and primarily affects the penis in its flaccid state. At Clinic Olymp, the reported average increase is approximately 1 to 3 centimeters.
The achievable increase depends on the length and elasticity of the suspensory ligament, rather than the patient’s preference or the surgeon’s discretion. The ligament’s characteristics can only be fully assessed during surgery, once the surgeon has gained access to it.
Penile circumference can also be increased, with reported average gains of approximately 1 to 3 centimeters.
Girth enhancement is performed using the patient’s own fat tissue. Fat is typically harvested from the inner thighs, processed through centrifugation, and carefully injected beneath the penile skin using specialized cannulas.
Because the procedure uses the patient’s own tissue, it avoids the need for synthetic fillers or implants. However, infection, uneven fat distribution, fat resorption, and other complications remain possible.
During the first few months after surgery, approximately 30% of the transferred fat may be reabsorbed by the body, although the actual percentage varies.
If additional volume is needed, a supplementary fat transfer procedure may be considered after approximately 3 to 6 months.
During the initial procedure, additional fat tissue may be collected and stored under specialized conditions at our clinic for approximately 6 to 8 months, subject to appropriate storage and medical protocols.
Recovery and Precautions After Penis Enlargement Surgery
When penile lengthening and girth enhancement are performed together, patients generally stay overnight at Clinic Olymp for medical observation.
If only penile girth enhancement is performed, the procedure may be carried out on an outpatient basis, allowing the patient to return home the same day.
Fat harvesting leaves small scars at the donor sites. Penile lengthening creates a Y-shaped scar above the base of the penis, which is generally concealed by pubic hair.
Most patients can return to everyday social activities within a few days after surgery, depending on their recovery.
Strenuous physical activity, heavy lifting, and sports should generally be avoided for approximately 4 weeks following the procedure.
Sexual activity, including intercourse and masturbation, should be avoided for approximately 5 to 6 weeks after surgery or until your surgeon confirms that healing is sufficient.
Possible complications include bleeding, infection, changes in sensation, scarring, contour irregularities, and dissatisfaction with the aesthetic outcome. Temporary bruising and swelling are expected during the early recovery period.
Your surgeon will provide personalized postoperative instructions and schedule follow-up appointments to monitor healing.
